Best way to improve your dirt jumping in a hurry is to go to a good dirt-jump area that has multiple lines from begiinnner up to expert. Get your rythm and flow in the beginner and intermediate lines and work up into the bigger stuff. Go when there are other people jumping too. You'll see how they hit the lines and - - I've found at least -- they're usually encouraging as you gain skills and confidence.
