In the same vain as Lemond being shot, Marcel Wust losing an eye. I really liked that guy. Damn shame. He had a few good seasons left in him. Then there was the really good Belgian sprinter, Wilfried Nelissen, who was in the crash with Jalabert in the '94 tour stage into Armentieres. His career was never the same after that.
