07 Record is really nice. The QS left shifter still has all the trims that the 06 and older have. If I were to build up another bike (which i might in the near future) I would get Centaur or Veloce and use Chorus Shifters.
that's what i did!
07 centaur with 07 chorus shifters.. (06 chorus alloy cranks & bb b/c i got them on a super closeout from a distributor- working at a shop really helped in finding that kind of stuff) it's been great!
