Sorry to revive an old thread, but I have one quick Q: I'm getting my bike repainted soon, not powdercoat: The BB is loctited in and it's got Italian threads, it's a huge PITA to remove and I'm afraid I might strip the splines. Will terrible things happen if the painter just masks off the BB really well and paints away?
