yeah i am not quite sure what made that noise either. i think it was just the wheels. they are aluminum spokes and i don't know if they might sound a little different on impact. plus they do not touch each other as a typical crossed spoke pattern would. so that might have changed the noise frequency or something.

as far as i can tell, nothing happened to the bike or wheels except for my nice Thompson seatpost getting scuffed.

What happened? no slipped pedals (i have Syncros SS mental pedals )

i had never jumped a MTB like that and i just underestimated the speed needed. the ramp has a fairly low profile, you don't get much lift...definitely a small high speed jump
