Second, if your shop had a "factory second" there is a story there as Cannondale does not do that.
I've been to more than one Cannondale dealer that has listed the MSRP in their catalog at the shop that the public is allowed to look through. Also, I know a mechanic who bought a blemished Six13 from the Cannondale rep for really cheap. The frame had a small dent in the chainstay that probably occurred during shipping. The customer wasn't happy so the customer got a new frame and the mechanic got a "factory second". I'm not trying to start an argument, maybe that is the "story" you were talking about.
