Not after it was powder-coated, no. This stuff is tough and doesn't even scratch, it just kinda indents, so I think I will be okay, at least for one more winter.
When I got the frame/fork, the paint was shot to hell and it had to be re-done anyways so I elected to powder-coat it. To be honest, I am not really happy with the job that was done; many of the nice details around the lugs were lost as well as the "CIOCC" emobossed on the seat-cluster area is sort of filled-in, so I will probably spray it myself in the spring. There are a couple of guys in the Classics/Vintage section who've done great jobs painting their own frames and posted the results, so I think I can do a fair to middling job on my own. Maybe a nice lavender or dusty pink, just to keep the bike firmly entrenched in the '80s
