Ok, know it well. My step son crashed wifey truck on Oak Glen. I used to live on De Witt. Yes Oak Glen goes up to Chesbo Lake and you can also get to Uvas and Calero from there. Uvas canyon park is awesome place and not too far from there. Thats actually many of the roads that I rode on my longest ride to date. In another month all of that will be really green.
Well, the next time I'm up here I'm determined to sneak off and ride up to the lake. My aunt has begged me not to ride on that road (which is why I went hiking), and I do agree it's narrow. But my Lord, is that area stunning. My pics do not do it justice. By the way, I headed down a road that said No Outlet right near Oak Glen. I wanted to find the end but it just kept going and going. Ring a bell? I know, there are tons of dead end roads up in the canyons, but that one was particularly remote and gorgeous.
