I rode across the Queensboro Bridge the other day and noticed they have new fencing on the Manhattan side approach to the bike/ pedestrian path. Bikes now have to enter from FIrst Avenue rather than use the old mid-block short-cut at the turn, which makes the incline just a little longer
Whenever I go over that I usually go up 1st Ave so I didn't notice a difference. Still beats the bus!

They've also completed the chain link fencing on the walkway which is a plus for acrophobic cyclists but does interfere with, what once was, a nice unobstructed view of the river and the Upper East Side.
