The cartridge bearing is easy to replace, and costs around $6-12 per pedal. The bushing is the hard part, apparently requires a special tool to remove and replace, so would probably have to be done professionally. I am all for repairing and recycling things, and I *love* these pedals (have four pair of them myself), but the cost of doing these repairs would almost certainly run you more than buying a new pair. I bought new ones recently, and this is the best price I found ($45.95)--even cheaper than eBay by quite a bit, plus you get the nice new cleats too:

Incidentally, Speedgoat will do an instant pricematch on this item, I ended up buying from them because Jenson was out of stock, and I'm really happy with Speedgoat.
