Looks like the recent meltdown wiped out all the good advice threads I had started, and they included so many links to auctions.
Anyway, here's a short version. I am a newbie, 5'8" with a 30/31" inseam. I sat on a 56" bike with the seat all the way down and I could touch the floor sitting on it. So I think I'm a 54-56cm C to C. This bike is a 53cm, would it be too short for me. On the good side the guy is local so I can possibly visit him and look at the bike, on the bad side he doesn't come to work until 1pm and the auction ends at 2pm. My budget is very low ($300 max) due to which I was inclining towards 80s road bikes, but this bike could be better, right?
So should I go for it unseen?
