1. What type of bikes do 50+ folks ride?
- Specialized Allez that I've upgraded to the point that only the original aluminum frame is left; has Ultegra components, FSA carbon cranks, carbon bars, selle SLK saddle, etc.
2. Do you take any special supplements/vitamins/minerals as you have grown older?
- Just Alleve before I ride.
3. How much do you feel you have "slowed down" if any?
- About 15 years ago I rode for a year or so and stopped . . . picked it back up and feel like I'm almost as fast now as I was then.
4. How long have you been biking? New, around a while, biked all your life?
- About a year on my "second time around."
5. What type of biking do you do? Long rides, touring, short rec rides, commute, tour, race?
- Rec rides; anywhere from 10-50 miles on average; have riden a century and a couple of 70+ milers. Don't race.
6. How often do you bike? Your approximate annual mileage?
- During good weather, 3-5 times a week; have ridden about 3,300 miles this year so far.
7. Do you do any other type of physical activities - weight lifting, skiing, running, etc.?
- Run some during the winter due to less daylight; also play softball and golf in the summer.
