2006 Cannondale CX - Oversize cable braze-ons?

Hi,

In the process of building up a 2006 Cannondale Cyclocross
and was wondering if anyone has experience with them.

My question is, what's the deal with the oversize braze-ons on the top tube
for the rear brake? Are they a standard mountain bike size? Or are they for larger disk
brake cables or something? Are oversize ferrules a common part amongst mechanics
who work on mountain stuff? It appears to be an O.D. of like 7mm?

I'm using STI's + Canti's with "normal" brake housing so regular ferrules
are waaaaaay too small for the braze-ons on the top tube. Just wanted to get an
idea of what I'm looking for before calling around tomorrow.

Thanks in advance,
HL
