Genec: Any luck on finding the positive and negative?
Banerjek & Slvoid: You guys must be using the later system with the surelock connectors, thus three wires. I'm using a classic taillight that has just two, positive and negative. I do have two multimeters. Use them quite a bit with my work. I'm tempted to go to my LBS with one to figure out the polarity of the plug, but I don't think they have the older lights only the newer ones. I guess I could chance it or cut the wire and hope the colors make sense.
Luckily I found some wiring from some heated clothing I wasn't using and the plugs will fit the taillight, so less cutting and soldering for me. I plan on using a cheap 55 watt driving light that would normally be used on a car. I'll wire everything up to a relay and run it off a 7ah lead acid battery located on a rack. I'm only using a relay so I can wire up a small switch instead getting some big bulky thing. Next challenge is to figure how to mount the headlight and taillight.
Thanks, for the help, once I get it wired up I'll try and share with some pictures.
