the guy has a lugged frame with a threaded fork. of course he should use a quill, what other option is there? hello. guy has a lugged steel threaded fork. the adapter thing is gimmicky as hell. it's like putting some tuner car junk on a 68' corvette. is this something you don't understand? products being designed a certain way, for certain specific components. this has literally nothing to do with the discussion at hand. but lacking a clue, you've decided that someone using the correct stem for a threaded fork is "anti tech". and because you've read some marketing copy about handlebars that are shaped strangely, that you desperately covet--you've now construed this stem issue as bolstering your case. huh?

this isn't rocket science. you've totally wandered off the reservation here.

what's next, you'll cite an elementary school picture from, 25 years ago, where I'm wearing a wool sweater--and you've got your proof! I must be one of those "pannier anti-tech" people.

please get a clue. I don't know how you'll arrange this, because--not having a clue--you don't even realize it, nor where you could get one--but it would make this feel more substantial to me. so far your comments are stradling the fence between unintentionally humorous and embarassing (for your sake).

yes--I stated the radical opinion that someone should use the correct stem for their fork, because they had such an awesome frame that it just deserved to be done proper. you busted me.
