While I do not like lowered cars, you must admit, the above are your opinions.

#8) Civics have broken the 11 sec barrier on 1/4 mile, some have broken 10.

#3) And cyclist don't? Read this forum and our lingo.

#2) Your music vs thiers. It's a matter of taste.
Of course these are just my opinions. That was the whole point. I was replying to the original poster's "pet peeves".

#3) I have not encountered the kind of abuse to the English language that I was referring to here. I will admit, however, that I do not read the BMX forum [as was suggested by another poster]. Also, it may simply be the case that people who abuse the langauge verbally are better able to edit what they write.

#2) Yes, my music vs theirs. And if MY music were loud enough that they had no choise but to listen to it, then they would have every right to criticize it as they saw fit. However, since I am not that rude, they are not forced to listen to my radio. Since I am not only forced to HEAR, but also to FEEL their music, I have every right to criticize their selections.

At all hours of day and night SUVs with chrome rims and neon lights and little clown cars riding two inches off the road (Often with spoilers higher than the roof!) drive up and down my street. My living room windows actually rattle from the base notes. Car alarms are frequently set off by the vibrations. If I am not wearing shoes, I can feel the vibrations in the floor. I can't call these sounds music because there is no more of a melody line than there is to an auctioneer's pitch. If you tried humming or whisteling one of these "songs" it would sound like morse code. By definition, this is not music. A spoken word piece with sound effects? Maybe. But not music.

The lyrics to these songs are amazingly rude themselves. If I weren't FORCED to listen, I wouldn't care. Since I have no choice in the matter, I object strongly. Every third or fourth word seems to be obscene and every sentence that I am able to understand [which are thankfuly rare] are likewise obscene. The other day I heard one blasting the line "nuts on yo chin... nuts on yo chin" over and over again. At first I had no idea what they were saying, but I realized what it was because it kept repeating, and a little later I realized what it actually meant and was disgusted. I couldn't make out what was said in the lines in between. A lot of times I can't understand most of what they say, but it is still clear that the word "B!+cH" is used constantly.

So yes, My music vs theirs. And as long as they are forcing ME to listen to THEIR "music", [And no, It isn't music] then I have every right to criticize the tasteless, obscene, talentless, disgusting noise that they have chosen to force me to listen to.
