I really got into doing things myself when changing a brake cable cost me $18 and the shop left the brakes way too close to the rim. This wasn't the first time I was unhappy with their wrenching so I figured enough was enough. I still go there to get wheels trued and for any other things I don't have the tools for, otherwise I'll do it myself.
