[QUOTE=boots]I've decided to go back to messengering in the new year, but I'm through with shoulder-strap bags. I want a nice, big backpack that collapses enough to be an everyday bag when empty. Does this exist? Here are the bag companies I've found that make backpacks.

Chrome
Reload
Ortlieb
Seagull (anyone ever heard of these guys? thoughts?)
Freight

I have a chrome and its solid realiable...okay
I have a huge SeaGull bag and its freakin tough as nails and is custom to the nth degree.
All the bells and whistles and is reasonably priced..and is made by a nice fellow from Ohio.
BTW when its chilly it acts as another layer of warmth to your back....seriously its soo warm and nice!
Check out there site online
