Biggest reason I don't like them is that it doesn't really solve a problem, and narrows your headset choices from dozens to one.
It's one of those things that when it works, it works great. But when it doesn't, like when the non-replaceable bearing cup wears and starts clunking and making noise, you can't just knock out the old and get a new one. Of course for many, this is a great excuse to get a new bike!

they usually have a crown race which has to be pressed on just like all the others, and even the el cheapo cane creek integrated headset has replaceable bearings, they cost almost as much as the complete headset though
