Possible? Yes.

Dangerous to you? Not if you're wearing a brain bucket and something more than lycra clothing.

Dangerous to your bike? Only while you're practicing and failing.

Videos? www.youtube.com - I'm sure you can search for stoppie or endo and find something

Tips? Brake kind of hard with the front. Stay seated. Watch out, because brakes change from not grippy to start with, to grippy when warm, and back to slippery once they get too hot. It's all about modulating the brake pressure. I'd start by simply braking kind of hard enough to get the rear wheel up for a split second, then let off. Then you have a feel for about what kind of brake pressure it takes to do it. Go from there. If your front wheel just locks up, you might not be able to do it. Try shifting your weight forward a little bit at a time to put more weight (== traction and forward CG) on the front wheel.
