I have an early/mid 90's Campy 8 also. The conversion is not worth it. You can still get 8 cassettes at good prices. Ride it until it dies.

Awhile back I called licktons (or maybe it was Aebike). I think the issue is that the conversion kits for those years are not available anymore (Branford's burned up). So I think you are basically at new brifters if I remember correctly.
