Not as fancy as the $17 dollar Garmin mount for sure.
I've been using a Garmin 76 for the last 3 years to map over 800 miles of trails for my website:

Just switched to the Garmin 76CSX a few weeks ago.
Garmin has the best color screens for handlebar use!
Color on a mapping unit makes it much more readable too.
The Garmin Venture CX runs $200 retail after rebate, bundles of the Legend CX with topo, 12V & carry case are $100 more. (Legend CX = Venture CX + 64 MB micro Sd + Mini USB cable)
I prefer the larger screen of the 76 or 60 series (more expensive, but more sensitive too)
All of the current Garmin color models do turn by turn routing on streets, so they're very useful for trips.
