1. What type of bikes do 50+ folks ride?
- Road: Trek 5500 and Cervelo Soloist Team. Time Trial: Cervelo P3sl (it flies!)
2. Do you take any special supplements/vitamins/minerals as you have grown older?
- I take a vitamin pack from "Healthy Directions" once a day (they tell you to take two).
3. How much do you feel you have "slowed down" if any?
- 2006 (while at age 50), I set personal records all over the place. Did a 10 mile TT at 29.7 mph!
4. How long have you been biking? New, around a while, biked all your life?
- About a dozen years now.
5. What type of biking do you do?
- I used to focus on century rides where I'd try to hang with the young racers types. Now I do time trials and triathlon relays (in addition to a fair number of centuries each season).
6. How often do you bike? Your approximate annual mileage?
- For this year, I'm about to reach my annual average -- 12,000 per year.
7. Do you do any other type of physical activities - weight lifting, skiing, running, etc.?
- I'm an exercise addict. 20 minutes of abdominals every morning, followed by a brisk 20 minute walk. In the gym for weight training twice per week. Plus 250 miles per week on the bike.
