I think it's definitely worth the extra for the 76 over the eTrex.
Larger screen allows you to zoom in a little closer to spread out details. Nice when it's mounted on a bike or vehicle.
I haven't loaded a map on mine yet, just tracklogs.Assigning a color helps them to stick out.
