I don't have a book to recommend, but I would suggest you check out the website
www.slowtwitch.com which is one of the premier triathlon-oriented sites on the net. There are tons of great articles and there's a VERY active forum where you can ask questions, get advice, etc. They even have a wonderful classifieds forum where you can find tons of used tri stuff on the cheap.
