A tip for people buying booties, based on my experiences with three pair of them ..... always buy your booties a size bigger than you figure you'll need.
I've got a pair of nylon ones which I have to use my reflective ankle bands to hold closed, and a pair of neoprene ones which I've worn out from trying to stretch them over my shoes ... they don't stretch, they rip. My newest neoprene ones are a size bigger and although they do seem a bit "duck-like" when I'm walking, at least it isn't a battle to get them on, and they are loose enough while riding to give my feet some room to breathe.
