I am now in the process of reassessing my wheel choices. I am talking to Ligero Wheelworks and Ergott Wheels about some carbon tubulars. Looking at something in a 28mm aero rim that should come in under 1280 grams. I am also now looking at Veloflex Carbon Tubulars. I understand this would be a laterally stiff wheel with a great riding tire. The total weight would save over 300g (11+oz.) on the entire bike build, but at about a $1000 USD cost.
