Eggbeaters. My commute is from 45 to 58 miles RT and I love them.
I generally ride in light traffic or MUPs. Occasionally, I ride in heavy traffic and am just fine. Clipping in and out is a breeze. I tend to have issues with platforms now that I am used to clipless pedals. Also, I have had a few occasions over the last year of being clipped in having saved me from falling down. One particular incident involved crossing wet train tracks at a very slow speed. I still managed to start falling but managed to pull myself upright using a clipped in shoe.
