Bikes: 2000 Specialized Allez Comp, 2003 Specialized Hardrock Comp

What type of bike do you commute on?
I recently started commuting 4 days a week on my MTB. I'm just curious as to what type of bike others use to commute, and if the choice is influenced by racing.
