Basically, there are, but no one is going to make any money out of that. They need a catchy name and slogan to market. For example, the Zone diet is pretty much eating a healthy balanced diet, the only thing is it focuses on reducing insulin surges.

Also, people have a skewed view of what is healthy and balanced due to marketing over the years. When I ask people; "Do you eat a healthy balanced diet?", the answer is invariably yes. Funny thing is, the people that I ask this question of are invariably over-weight.

As an aside, my competition diet is isocaloric which means equal calories spread between carbs, fat and protein.
