Aha! You have violated one of my priciples: 1. never ride in 'rush hour' & 2. never ride a 'Narrow country lane' or on any other road without a substantial shoulder. I paid in 1986, the day before Xmas, when I was done in by a pickup, taken to a hospital & X-rayed, woke up 5 1/2 hours later with a concussion and never new what happened. Riding 'on the edge' in any case is asking for it. Like motorcyclists say, "It's better to be wrong; than dead right!", (or something like that)
