SPDs on my commuter. I just replaced a set of Ritchey pedals that held out for 3 winters and many thousands of commute miles with a set of Shimano 520 pedals. Got a good price on probikekit.com.
But I have Ultegra pedals on my road bikes. The SPD platform is just too small and I get a hot spot in the middle of my foot if the ride is longer than an hour.
