The l&m lights are VERY bright. For $200 is a great deal, very light, and it usually throws out 2-3watts more light than standard halogens because of the efficiency of their reflectors.
The logic feature provides for a soft-start, which stresses the bulb a lot less. Most bulbs usually pop when you first start them cold. So the soft-start should prolong the life of your bulb too.
