I try to be completely objective and keep an open mind about everything. I spend a lot of money on my bikes and my best one cost an awful lot. Within reason, it's literally got all the components I really want. I tried several CF seatposts and can't tell one bit of difference in terms of damping or other charactertsics over Al. If you want light weight, comfort from the ability to make very small adjustments on the saddle position, and durability, try something like Thompson Masterlight.
