Not really...I'll probably always be a sandbagger...lol. In part, I think it's hilarious to see people get their feathers ruffled over this...I mean really...does it matter??? The other part is that I am still so new to cycling...and I'm not the fastest climber...yet. On my GMR thread for next Tuesday, I posted a warning that I would probably be slow...anyone who was there to watch me climb Oak Glen can attest to the fact that I am not speedy on the hills...yet. If I was just riding GMR for the first time with my core group that I ride with all the time (chimivee, voltman, tiff, etc.) I wouldn't feel the need for that disclaimer, as they know my abilities...however...opening the ride to the whole group, I thought it fair to warn that I don't have a lot of experience with sustained climbs, so if they came out looking for a fast group climb up GMR...they were probably not going to get it.
