if you go to map player.... then on the left choose steallite for the "backgroud" you will see the satellite image and your route and it's on their server... not your computer (i think you can do a map in garmin's software if you have a garmin map, which i do cuz i have another garmin gps) you do need to use both programs to get all the info... i.e. motionbased doesn't have cadence and their elevation is WAY off... so you need to use garmin's program that comes with the edge to get your cadence and the proper elevation)
i, personally don't think the normal price is worth if for motionbased... since i've been using it since february and only have the free version.... you get to see your last 10 rides uploaded.... however it does save all your rides so if you ever become paid... you get them all... i do think i'm planning to get the subscription before the end of the year cuz it's 2 for 1.... still deciding though... cuz that's still $200 out of pocket for the two of us.... but the free version works fine.... you get to see the map player and all your info.... i transfer it all over to bikejournal anyways...
it's a well known fact that i DESPISE the HORRIBLE calorie counter.... i just don't understand why garmin can't get it right********************??? they have ALL the tools..... but the insist on using speed only! DUMB DUMB DUMB!
it's really more toy than any of us need..... for me the map player is the coolest part.... especially on away rides
Nada, nothing came up..
Although I did see alittle colored map of the ride!
Can you post a pic with it mapped?
Thanks!!!
Calorie counter? I assume if I ride, i burn.. the more I ride, the more I burn!
