This will be a tough one, For the past 25+ years I hav spent Christmas Eve with my friends, always at one particular friends, Mike, house. This tradition has withstood the additon and changing of girlfriends, spouses, children, deaths of family members and friends, we have watched each others children grow into adults, laughed and cried together. Even when Mike and his wife lived in a small one bedroom apartment, we would all be there. Some of us would stay the whole time, some would just drop in for a few minutes. It has become one of the most looked forward nights of the year, and it makes the Christmas season complete. And Mike is Jewish.
Last week Mike sent an email to us, his friends, that he and his wife are seperated. That sucks. More so because they are both very nice people, and we all like them very much. They are still haveing the Chirstmas Eve get together at thier house, but now knowing the situation, I don't think it will be the same.
