Tried maybe blasting them out with compressed air?
Mine hasn't acted up once ever since this incident, and I often take 3 or 4 trips in the dark per day. Commute to work is dark, commute home is dark, and sometimes I get sent to the pharmacy, grocery store, or somewhere else at night. I think it was tuesday I made 2 runs to the pharmacy (prescription, christmas cards, and a hanukkah card that ended up being the wrong kind -- from Jew to Jew -- I'm nor Jewish! I had to go back) and 2 runs to the grocery store (needed lots of groceries, couldn't do it in one load), and then had to make yet another run out to the convenience store.
Anyhow, my 3.0 is still fine. I've removed and recharged the batteries 3 times since I made this thread.
