The "wavy" rotors are mainly for looks, but they do have a function, it's just like a "perforated" or cross-drilled rotor, they allow cool air in to dissapate the heat. No you will not have a "pulsing" (it's actually called PULSATING) feel on these rotors unless there is acceptable lateral runout, AKA warp rotors. Now the second rotor(Hope) is much different-not only is it cross drilled, but the rotors are two piece and are "floating" rotors, meaning they will "float" side-to-side eliminating most of the "pulsing" feeling caused by excessive lateral runout. This is a standard in High performance cars and is soon becoming a trend in the high performance bike world, because well.....it works! So, bottom, line is.... dont let the looks of a rotor deter you from getting one set of brakes from another, they are usually engineered to perform at the same level, an extereme level you will probably never peak!
