My 10 year old Record shifter (right side) used to stick intermitttently. I turned the bike upside down and used a little spray lubricant through the cavities and that seemed to take care of that minor problem for good.
Yeah, I plan on trying that tomorrow just in case it solves the problem. But if that doesn't it, I'm exploring my options.
