My Planet Bike Protege 8 hasn't had a problem yet and I've ridden thru some hard rains. Like ItsJustMe said the computer itself is the button and you slide it up and down. It shows avg speed and total miles and the price was really good, I found it in the cleanace bin at REI for $9!
