The pace is quite fast, OC and I were barely able to keep up last year. If you do the ride make sure to stay in the front half of the pack when the group hits the hills on PCH in Newport, Laguna Beach, and Dana Point. That's where people start droping off en masse and if you get caught in a group that drops back then you'll never catch up.
