koolstop grey continentals ..as good as salmon?

I have some salmon colored pads on my fixed and they are awesome in dry (but designed for nasty conditions). I just purchased some grey continental koolstops and was wondering if anyone on the forum knows how good these are? Are they just as good as the salmon ones? These will probably be used in rain and snow.
