Got a question for you .... what sort of box do you pack your bicycle in? Are you able to reduce your bicycle down so that it fits in a large suitcase? If so, then I can see how you can get away with lying to the agents.
When was the last time you did it? Do you lie every time you fly or just when the agent looks particularly gullable?
For those of us who are heading off on tours, and who use cardboard bicycle boxes from our LBS with pictures of bicycles on them, and words like NORCO printed in large letters on the side, it would be a little more difficult to convince anyone that we are travelling with glass blowing equipment!!!!
