I suppose there'd be no problem using graphite to lubricate that carbon seatpost.

As far as I know, there's no grease or other lube on my carbon seatpost/aluminum frame. I've not had any problems with it so far except when the LBS didn't have it quite tight enough and I took a sharp turn and got a big surprise.
