Hmmm... I checked my Campy junk boxes and DID come up with one pair of aluminum pad holders.
They are stamped Brev. Campagnolo and have black plastic covered centering tabs.
But because they were in the junk box, I have no idea what vintage they are. So apparently Campy DID make aluminum pad holders at some point.
