Yeah but what if you flat on a tubular? You'd have to be carrying an extra tire, wouldn't you? With the tubeless tire all you'd need to carry is an extra tube, which would be lighter.

Both are probably a pain in the ass to fix. Hutchinson claims that you can ride on the flat tubless tire, but I'm not sure how that would compare to riding on a flat tubular.
