I am happy with my purchase but would still like a back up set. The idea of buying another set of complete calipers and taking off the shoes has been running through my mind but the prices for complete sets is still beyond the budget the wife allows.
The white coverings came on cobalto and victory brake calipers as far as I know. Kurt says they appear without rubber coating in the catalogues, but I am sure I have seen them on ebay with white rubber. I too have a set with white rubber and the o-ring is white too. They have standard super record center nuts though not cobalto. This suited my tastes anyway as I was usuing white brakes hoods white toe straps, swapped out the super record derailleur pulleys for white victory pulleys and the lettering on the frame is white. I think it looks good.
