+1 on this. Americans are among the most personally generous people on the planet. We may not have as comprehensive a
government safety net as some countries, but Americans give
far more money to charities than any other people in the world. It pisses me off when people who give thousands, millions, and in a few cases, billions of dollars to charities get bashed because they don't want to give the rest of their money to the IR-f**king-S.
