Do you wash bike clothes along with the general laundry.

Do we have a real dilema with washing bike clothes. Guess, doing our Goretex jackets and pants, along with the general laundry might have special problems. WHen I wash my Goretex, every few washings; I like to do a real wash of goretex in a washing machine. That requires special soaps, so as to not stop up Goretex's breathing abilities. I use Nikewax.
I had been blaming the pollution from the outside air where I let it hang out to dry. Well, just sniffed the laundry. Just hung it out to dry. I smell the pollution as I take it out of the washing machine. I have a lot of Goretex to wash, so it seems wasteful to wash it alone without other laundry. Can't use special freshners on Goretex.? Guess, we just have to have a wasteful wash and do the goretex stuff alone, in order to not stink up the household laundry.? Do you find special Goretex soaps to be all that effective as a laundry detergent. ?
